It is an ever first effort in the world art history. Njeralathu Public
Charitable Trust is 100% dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Sopanasangeetham, so first of all we are trying to document all the Sopanam Singers in Video Format. As the part of this historic documentation we started the video shooting on 2008 January 28th at famous Varikkassery Mana. Mr.Animon who is also an art lover and humanitarian allowed
that mana for shooting without payment. That was the inaugural day of Sopaana Sangeetham Documentation. Three Senior Sopanam Singers named, Iringol Neelakanta Maaraar, Thrikkamburam Krishnan Kutty Maaraar and Guruvayoor Janardhanan Nedungadi were participated in the event. Then we took a trip around Kerala villages to mark other
artists and got only below 50 singers who are professional and regular in this divine art. The video documentation work is on the way now. We publish the still photo, contact address and songs of sopanam singers in www.sopanasangeetham.com.It is the ever first publication of artist's details through website exclusively for Sopaana Sangeetham and is solemnly dedicated and committed for the socio cultural progress of the Sopanasangeetham and its singers. This documentation was the ever first demand to government agencies but neglected with out understanding its significance.
Dear friends,
To record one sopaanamm song minimum of Rs.10000/- is needed.
If you are an art lover please understand the importance of this effort and help us morally and financially. Tell your friends about its importance in upcoming kerala's art history. Through the website all the recorded artists will get a promotion and they maybe invited to perform all over the world. We shoot 4 songs and one short interview per artist.
Many temple authorities and persons like Mr.Animon, Shishir Thirunanthapuram, Mohanan Angamali (brother of famous Bose Krishnamaachaari Balachandran (CEO of Janapriya Entertainment - an upcoming TV channel). Rajesh Achuth was the first person who supported us through www.godsownheritage.com a well organized video gallery on Kerala Art Forms. Mr. I.R. Prasad and Mr. Dinesh Eravimangala M are the persons who wholeheartedly support this documentation for next generations. You also can support us in this historic effort by money, providing shooting facility and introducing new artists.
